Please blog about what song you have listened to and how it ministered to you. Be sure to let others know how they can listen as well.
Hey youth, I know I'm late commenting, but I just had to say...I'm inspired by all of the comments. Keep up the good work. Vero and I are standing with you. I know many of you have started school again and you will soon find yourselves dealing with many issues, but I encourage each and everyone of you to stand firm in His word. a verse comes to mind as I write this: "This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9. Vero and I are so proud of you all and we know that the Lord has already begun to do great things. We look foward to hearing some testimonies real soon! Oh, by the way, you all sound like preachers!! Great! Lol!
ReplyDeleteHey everyone,
ReplyDeletei hope you all had a good first day of classes.i also hope that you are being blessed by this process that we have begun,God has great things for you and for me. a song that ministered to me is hillsong'sFREEDOM IS HERE" And everything comes alive
In my life as we lift You higher
Let Your freedom arise"
the songlet me know that when we let God take control and let him grow in us, we expierience true freedom. John 8:36 says "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."
I have Read a couple of bible passages so far, below I'm going to post the passage and then a little bit of what i thought about.
ReplyDelete*Matthew 5
* I liked reading this passage because it reminds you that the difficulties that you are facing now will be over and you will be rewarded in heaven,I feel this can relate to everyone because everyone is in a little battle of their own.
*Jude 1
* This gives a very powerful insite on saving others as well as your own being from sin .And pushing them closer to God.
*Acts 12
* This story always reminds me that God is always there for you and even in your hardest difficulties God will be there looking out for you.
These are a couple of Bible verses I thought the Jovenes should read while on this fast.

hey youth i hope you are participating in this fasting !! but ive been listining to christian music ... nd one of my favorite songs is the voice of truth ... from casting crowns ... the song talks about the voice of truth .... it says waves crashin and the waves represent ppl and obsticals that get in ur way nd when u face problems in ur life there lik waves crashing and takin you dwn and sometimes u will face scarey situtuations in ur life that will be hard to handle .. it also tlks about wen ppl criticize and laugh at u for who u are... christian tend to face this alot... and they reminded about the times u tried to do the right thing but u failed .... but it also say in the song that the voice of truth tells us a different story it tells us do not be afraid this is for his glory jovenes !! choose to listine and beleive the voice of truth ... dont be afraid and have faith in our God all mighty!! BECAUSE HE IS THE VOICE OF TRUTH!! LISTINE TO THE VOICE OF TRUTH!
ReplyDeleteMusic is a powerful way of expressing emotions, thoughts and attitudes. I love finding music that is uplifting and makes me get into a deep and meaningful worship w/God...I also love a great beat! :-) I encourage you to find Christian music that fits your style of music...there are LOTS of choices out there! I will continue to pray for strength and determination to follow through with God's plan for each and every one of your lives. We love you all and we are here to support you 100%!
ReplyDeleteSo I was reading something on the internet about secular music vs. christian music and I came across a verse that I found interesting. I'd like to hear what you think. The verse is found in Phillipians 4:8 and it says: "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." So here's the questions, How might this verse apply to our fast?
ReplyDeleteJust a thought,
Abi
